		Oahu - The North Shore The direct opposite of Honolulu -- both geographically and nearly every other way -- is Oahu's North Shore, centered on the pleasantly bohemian town of Haleiwa. This is Mecca for surfers. The waves at Alii Beach Park, Banzai Pipeline, and Sunset Beach near Waimea are legendary. A surfer at Pipeline, North Shore Every year in late November and early December the North Shore hosts the Triple Crown of Surfing culminating in Pipemasters, the most coveted title in the sport.
